I love Mojo Monday

It is Mojo Monday again!

Mojo Monday gives me something to look forward to on an otherwise mundane Monday.

Every Monday www.mojomonday.blogspot.com puts up a sketch

Here is the sketch:

Today has been a hectic day

I had a full schedule that through me for a loop

I threw together this rendition of the sketch

I am still trying to decide if I like it enough to submit it

I think it is missing elements and my ribbon slipped

I may try another crack at this sketch sometime this week

The colors I used were Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum and, So Saffron

I used the Floral Frame Framelits # 127012  for the card

The 2 1/2″ Circle Punch # 120906 for the So Saffron accent

I stamped the greeting with Sassy Salutations wood mount # 132070 and clear mount # 126707

The butterflies are from Bloomin Marvelous (retired)

The ribbon is 1/8″ White Taffeta

I used Dazzling Details #124117 and the Large Pearl Basic Jewels # 125577

I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol pens to color the pearls purple

I Love My Stamps

Normally my stamp showcase is done on Saturday however with my new schedule that will change

My Stamp showcase will now be shown on Sunday

And with that I present this week’s Stamp Showcase

Fabulous Florets Wood mount # 128574 and Clear mount # 123027

This set comes with six stamps

The stem stamp itself is invaluable to me

I have used this set on many occasions

They not only create a beautiful focal point they make great backgrounds

The solid flower is great for techniques like thumping and graduated color

The two outline stamps are really fun to water color and practice shading with

They are also the perfect size for 3 x 3 cards

One Cool Trick

As promised yesterday I will show you how to create a glue top note pad

What you will need:

10 sheets of copy paper

A 1″ strip of decorative paper the same width of your stack

Two Binder clips

One paint brush

and

Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive # 110755

First cut 10 sheets of copy paper to desired size

I cut mine in landscape position at 3 1/5″, 7″, and 10 1/5″

Then I cut those strips at 4″ and 8″

This created a 60 sheet notepad that is 3 1/5″ by 4″

Once you have your stack of paper cut

Stack them together and binder clip them on each side close to the top

Next step is to use your Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive and the paint brush to paint the glue across the top of the stack

Make sure to cover every piece of paper

Next step is the hardest part…

Wait while it dries

Since the glue will remain a little tacky use the 1″ strip to cover and decorate the top of your notepad

Ta Da you have a glued notepad, each sheet will tear off individually

The Best Digital Scrapbooking Program is MDS…

I have said it before but I will say it again

I LOVE My Digital Studio (MDS)

I was messing around with the program as I do often when I want to create something new

I have always used Microsoft Word, or Publisher when I wanted to make a new form

But now I have MDS and I can really get creative

I had bought the Holiday List Of All Lists   #132561

I had bought it with another project in mind but It worked great for this project too

I needed a to do list that was simple, functional, and I liked looking at

So I took one of the forms from this set and created my To Do List

It didn’t take me very long to make

Two lists will fit on an 8 1/5″ x 11″ landscape piece of paper of cardstock

And, it will print out right from my household printer

Not I have a to do list I like that I can print whenever I need more

Stay tuned because tomorrow I will teach you an easy way to make a bound pad of paper

That way you can cut copy paper and make your own note pad or better yet

Make a pad of to do lists and just tear off the sheet when your done
