I Absolutely LOVE a Challenge…

Challenges are my specialty, I won’t sleep until I have a solution

Right now I have insomnia, lol, because I am trying to get my schedule organised

My schedule is crazy:

M-F 6:30 am I get my 2 yr. old niece Danyelle

M-F 6:30 am to 9:30 am we nap (or she is a blubbering mess, me too!)

Monday my studio is closed so we do housework, laundry and a movie and popcorn

Tuesday through Friday my studio is open from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm

So from 9:30 am to 11:00 am we have breakfast, take out the dogs and maybe get a bath

From 11:00 am to 12:00 pm we get lunch prepared to take with us and for Jerrah to have at work

from 12:15 pm until my studio closes I am there, Danyelle’s mommy gets there around 2:30

After Danyelle leaves I can really focus on projects and my blog

Then on alternating Thursdays and Fridays I work over-nite at the hotel (pays for my studio)

Saturday I get to catch up on missed sleep and then to the studio

Sunday is a rest day (HAHA) I usually spend this on the parents farm working

So I decided since I couldn’t find a planner that fit me I would make one

I have this amazing program called My Digital Studio (MDS)

Well here was the challenge…

I want my designs to print all the way to the edge of an 8 1/2″ X 11″ piece of cardstock

MDS will not do that because it is designed for professional printing and has a built in bleed area

I searched the internet for solutions (always my first step) not much there

I changed my printer setting with no luck MDS overwrites this

Finally I figured it out…

I saved the project as a JPEG to my computer

reopened the project in Microsoft office 2010 and printed it as one 8 1/2″ X 11″ picture PERFECT

Completely borderless no white at all!!!

I am so happy that now I will design my perfect planner (I will share when its done)

It was such a simple solution that frustrated me completely

PLEASE if you have any suggestions for organizing my various life projects and menial tasks please let me know

I am a complete dork and love lists so throw me all your ideas!!!!

I love Mojo Monday

It is Mojo Monday again!

Mojo Monday gives me something to look forward to on an otherwise mundane Monday.

Every Monday www.mojomonday.blogspot.com puts up a sketch

Here is the sketch:

zzMojo304SketchToday has been a hectic day

I had a full schedule that through me for a loop

I threw together this rendition of the sketch

Mojo Monday # 304I am still trying to decide if I like it enough to submit it

I think it is missing elements and my ribbon slipped

I may try another crack at this sketch sometime this week

The colors I used were Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum and, So Saffron

I used the Floral Frame Framelits # 127012  for the card

The 2 1/2″ Circle Punch # 120906 for the So Saffron accent

I stamped the greeting with Sassy Salutations wood mount # 132070 and clear mount # 126707

The butterflies are from Bloomin Marvelous (retired)

The ribbon is 1/8″ White Taffeta

I used Dazzling Details #124117 and the Large Pearl Basic Jewels # 125577

I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol pens to color the pearls purple

What do you think this card needs to make it complete?

I would love to here your thoughts

When I started this challenge I had another project in mind

I thought I could do double duty

That became a problem when I realized what I wanted to do was not feesible

I wanted to punch out where the sentiment is with my oval punch

However, I can’t do that with the fold there so I just stamped the sentiment

Here is my take:

Mojo Monday 303

Since I had another project in mind I knew what image I wanted to use

The colors I used were Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Whisper White

The stamped image is Lovely as a Tree  clear mount # 127793 wood mount #128655

I stamped the image with Black Stazon Ink # 101406

The trees are colored using Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers

Sassy Salutations is the sentiment stamp set wood mount # 132070 and clear mount # 126707

It is stamped in in white Pigment Ink and embossed with

Clear Embossing Powder # 109130

The ribbon is Whisper White 3/8″ Taffeta #109070

The branch in the corner was fussy cut from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set

I then mounted it using Stampin’ Dimensionals #104430

I would love to here your thoughts

I love Mojo Monday Take Two…

This is my second take on this Mojo Monday

I was not very happy with the first one so I didn’t submit it

I am a lot more pleased with this one and will submit it

As always please tell me what you think

Every Monday www.mojomonday.blogspot.com puts up a sketch

Here is the sketch:

As I said in the first Mojo Monday post for this week, this challenge was a little difficult for me

I knew I had the star down because I have had these vellum star tags forever, this time I used a smaller one

I changed the colors and that helped tremendously

I can say I am happy with this one

Here is my 2nd take:

Mojo Monday 302 Take two

The only problem I had with this one is the word stamp blurred when I stamped and embossed it

The colors I used were Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight

The ribbon I hand dyed with an Ink refill and rubbing alcohol

The Star tag is an embellishment set I have had forever

The Moon stamp is Stampin’ Up! from 2000

I stamped the image with white pigment ink and embossed in Clear Embossing Powder

The moon and the background colored using Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers on water color paper # 122959

Miracles Happen is from Bloomin Marvelous (Retired)

It is stamped in with white pigment ink and embossed in Clear Embossing Powder # 109130

The ribbon is White taffeta was hand dyed by adding some ink refill and alcohol in a jar, I let the ribbon soak for awhile and then dried it with my heat tool

Please tell me what you think!!!
