Every month during 2013, we’re combining some of our all-time-favorite stamps with a new, never-before-seen stamp to create a monthly “Best of” stamp set.

Don’t forget to check out the sets from previous months as well. They’re available all year! (see photo gallery below)

While we are releasing just one Best of stamp set per month, all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.

As a special incentive to collect the Best of stamps, we’re including a collector’s card and 25-year proof of purchase sticker with every Best of set.

Collect six stickers, and send it in to redeem a FREE set of your choice valued up to $14.95!

Free sets must be redeemed no later than April 30, 2014.

I Love My Stamps

Normally my stamp showcase is done on Saturday however with my new schedule that will change

My Stamp showcase will now be shown on Sunday

And with that I present this week’s Stamp Showcase

Fabulous Florets Wood mount # 128574 and Clear mount # 123027

Fabulous FloretsThis set comes with six stamps

The stem stamp itself is invaluable to me

I have used this set on many occasions

They not only create a beautiful focal point they make great backgrounds

The solid flower is great for techniques like thumping and graduated color

The two outline stamps are really fun to water color and practice shading with

They are also the perfect size for 3 x 3 cards

Let me know if you would like to see samples from I have made from this set

Water Coloring with Ink Pads

Today’s technique is water coloring with your Stampin’ Up! ink pads

The supplies need to do this technique are:

An ink pad – Shop here

An Aqua Painter #103954

Glossy Paper # 101910

Start by pressing down on the lid of your ink pad while closed this will create a pool of ink on the lid

Ink pool padOnce you have done that you can pick up the color with your aqua painter and water color on the glossy card stock

I didn’t have any glossy paper on hand so I used vellum which also has a slick surface

Watercolor on vellumThe more water you use the more it will flow together and blend the colors

Here is a technique by Carrie Cudney of Stampin’ Up! this technique can be used the same way as above

Try this technique and tell me what you think!
