3 Reasons to Organize Your Stamps and Tools…

I was inspired by several people and blogs to Organize my Stamps and Tools

I will be working on this over the next few days

Stay tuned for more Ideas

One reason I wanted to do this was so I know what I have to work with

The second reason I decided to do this was so I had a quick reference for finding just the right stamp or tool

The third reason I decided to do this was to make it easier to see just what is in my inventory and what I need to add

I started with my punches since that is the smallest of my tool sets

I decided for my punches I would make cards and attach them to a ribbon so I could use them to find images that would fit inside them

I wrote the name of the punch and the Catalog number on each template for easy reference

I may change these up a bit. This was the first attempt at creating this type of template.

More to come.

Please let me know if you have done this and share pictures of your ideas!

Quick Layering Tip…

Here is an easy and quick way to get layers with just one punch!

That is right one Punch two different looks.

I will show you step by step how to do this.

I use the Decorative Label Punch for these.

Step one…

Punch out your label in the main color and the layer color.

Cut the layer color down the middle.

Horizontal cuts will give you long layers.

Vertical cuts will give you shorter end layers.

Step Two…

Next snip off the inside corners.

This prevents them from showing when attached.

Step Three…

Next attach with adhesive.

I use two way glue because it gives me some time to reposition it to get it aligned just right

You can order Two Way glue HERE

This is the backside of the label so you can see how to position the cut pieces.

Creative Folds Six…

Creative Fold 6 Front Creative Fold 6 Inside

This is the sixth in Linda Bauwin’s series.

I don’t have anyone graduating and I wanted to show a different version of this explosion card.

I have done this card on a much larger scale using three 12×12 pieces of card stock.

When done on that scale it makes a grand gift worthy of putting on a wall.

The Stamp set  is Daydream Medallions.

I used the Floral Frames Framelits to cut out the medallions.

I love the versatility of the Daydream Medallions.

I used a 1/2″ circle punch to cut out a circle of glimmer paper for the center of the medallion on the inside.

Creative Folds Five…

Creative Folds 5

This is the fifth in Linda Bauwin’s series.

The Stamp set  is Pretty Petites.

I used the Mini Curly Label Punch and the 1″ circle punch.

I had some trouble with the angles lining up just right. Overall I think it is a cute card.

I didn’t have any ribbon color to match my paper so I took my white ribbon and used a coordinating Stampin’ Up! Marker to color the ribbon.
